My Mercedes EQC Steering Wheel Peeled at Just 30,000 km

I’m the owner of a Mercedes EQC, and I never expected to write a complaint about such a high-end vehicle. However, I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated to report that my car—with only 30,000 km on it—has developed serious peeling on the steering wheel. What’s more frustrating is that I don’t wear rings, and I haven’t used any harsh chemicals that could have caused this damage.
I’ve seen that many other EQC owners are facing the same issue, which suggests this isn’t an isolated incident but a quality control problem that Mercedes needs to address immediately.
I chose Mercedes-Benz for its reputation, quality, and attention to detail. Yet here I am dealing with a visibly deteriorating steering wheel on a luxury EV that hasn’t even seen extensive use. This kind of flaw is unacceptable for a brand positioned as a symbol of refinement and durability.
I am calling on Mercedes-Benz to take full responsibility and provide a proper repair or replacement under warranty. Customers shouldn’t have to fight for basic quality on a premium product. Mercedes, please do what’s right and uphold your standards.
