Mercedes-Benz E 180 Broke Down Two Days After Delivery

To the attention of Mercedes-Benz A.Ş. representatives,
I took delivery of my brand-new, fully insured Mercedes-Benz E 180 on September 16, 2026. However, before I had even owned the vehicle for two full days, it broke down on September 19, 2026, while I was driving in a remote mountainous area of Sivas. The digital instrument display showed the warning, “Rear-axle steering malfunction, stop immediately,” and I was stranded on the road for hours. During this entire process, neither the Mercedes-Benz dealership where I purchased the vehicle nor Mercedes-Benz representatives provided me with effective assistance.
I had to arrange and pay for a tow truck myself and first have the vehicle transported to central Sivas. I was informed there that the EZS control unit had failed and that a replacement part was not in stock either in Türkiye or Germany. I was also told that the vehicle might not be delivered back to me for approximately four months. Expecting me to use a brand-new vehicle for only two days and then leave it at a service center for four months, while also refusing to provide me with a replacement vehicle and simply saying that there was none available, is completely unreasonable. No meaningful solution was offered.
I subsequently had the vehicle towed again, this time at my own expense, to the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Diyarbakır where I purchased the vehicle. I paid approximately $890 for this second tow, and I have an e-Archive invoice documenting the payment. The entire process is documented through work orders numbered 3347948 and 57706, as well as authorized service records. Despite this documentation, I believe the dealership has been unnecessarily delaying the process and appears to be obstructing its resolution. I cannot accept that such an established brand would treat a customer who purchased a brand-new vehicle in this manner and avoid taking responsibility despite what appears to be a serious vehicle or manufacturing defect.
For all of these reasons, I request that my losses and inconvenience be fully remedied, that this brand-new vehicle—which developed a major failure within two days of delivery—be replaced with a new vehicle, and that all additional expenses I have paid out of pocket, particularly the approximately $890 towing expense from Sivas to Diyarbakır, be reimbursed in full. I am prepared to provide Mercedes-Benz with all relevant documentation, including the vehicle sales invoice, notary documents, service records, work orders, towing invoice, and photographs taken at the time of the breakdown. I expressly reserve all of my legal rights and would like to emphasize that I will continue to pursue this matter until it is fully resolved.
