McDonald’s App Cancels Order but Fails to Refund Payment After 18 Days

On January 1, 2026, at 7:05 PM, I placed an order worth $27 through McDonald’s Turkey’s official mobile app from the Istanbul Şişli branch, with order number #125316667. The restaurant completely canceled the order, citing weather conditions, and no products were delivered to me. After the cancellation, I contacted customer service and was clearly told that the refund process had been initiated and that the payment would be credited back to my account within a maximum of two business days. However, despite 18 days having passed since that conversation, no refund has been made.
During this time, I contacted customer service approximately five more times to report the issue. Each time, I was told that “the refund will be processed,” yet no concrete action was taken, and the money has still not been returned to my account. I do not accept that the $27 I paid has not been refunded for such a long period, even though no product was delivered, and that every call results only in delaying responses with no resolution. I request that the full amount I paid be refunded to me immediately and in full, and I also expect a clear explanation and a formal apology from the company for the inconvenience and frustration caused.

I still haven't received a refund, today is the 22nd day. I guess McDonald's likes to profit from its customers this way.
