I’ve been using and loving Maybelline Rocket Volume Express Mascara for a long time. About 3–4 days ago, I purchased it again on sale from the Watsons store inside Balıkesir Hilton Mall. Since it was about 70% off and cost around $9, I decided to buy it again. However, this time the mascara I purchased turned out to have a completely different and problematic formula.
The mascara is extremely liquid and never dries. While it’s on my eyes, it smudges everywhere—including my eyelids—and leaves black marks all over. Throughout the day, it flakes off in pieces, and I’m forced to walk around with a messy, dirty look. Since I’ve used this same mascara for years, I know exactly how it’s supposed to perform. I believe this product is either expired or has a manufacturing defect.
Because I’m working, I didn’t have time to go back to the store, and since I threw away the receipt, I couldn’t request a return. Despite this, I ask that this product be properly examined, and if necessary, that I be provided with a replacement from the same line that is free of defects or a refund.
I also request that this issue—clearly not in line with the brand’s quality standards—be clarified, and that any defective products in stores be removed from shelves.
