Hello. I bought the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, thinking, “It’s expensive, but at least my lashes will see a quality product.” That assumption turned out to be incredibly wrong—and dangerous. After coming home, I decided to compare it to another mascara I had—LYKD. I applied Maybelline to my left eye and LYKD to the right. Later that evening, I removed both mascaras, washed my face, and went to bed as usual.
The next day, around 12:30 PM while heading to the gym, I suddenly felt a sharp stinging in my left eye. My eye started watering uncontrollably, and the pain wouldn’t stop. Despite seeing a doctor, having my eye flushed with medication, and using prescribed drops, the irritation has persisted for two days now. My left eye is swollen, and I can currently see only 30% out of it.
I’m absolutely devastated. I bought a high-end product expecting performance and safety, and now I’m dealing with a serious health issue instead. Even cheaper brands have never done this to me. This is unacceptable.
Maybelline, I demand that you take full responsibility for this reaction. Your product has caused severe damage to my eye, and I want to know how such a thing is even possible from a brand of your scale. Please investigate this issue, address my case directly, and ensure no one else suffers the same. This is not just about makeup—this is about health and safety. I expect a formal response and action.
