I’ve been a loyal user of Maybelline’s Lash Sensational mascara for years, but this time I decided to try the Lash Sensational Waterproof version—and it turned out to be a terrible decision. After applying it, my eyes started to flake and smudge excessively, which is shocking for a product that’s supposed to be waterproof. Even a small tear caused the mascara to fall apart and leave a patchy mess around my eyes.
The worst part? I couldn’t find anything suitable to remove it in the morning, and I had work all day—so I was stuck with painful, irritated eyes until evening. When I finally removed the mascara, the pain became unbearable. I ended up in the emergency room, where they found internal bleeding in the back of my eye. I literally couldn’t open it from the stinging and pressure.
I bought this mascara from an Eve store, and I am deeply disappointed. Maybelline needs to take accountability for the damage this product has caused. I never expected a trusted brand to release something that could be so harmful to eye health. I demand answers and a full investigation into the formula.
