Hello, on 21/12/2022, a few days before the price increase, we decided to upgrade our washing machine and visited the LG store. We had already considered several brands and seemed to have settled on a product. We entered the LG store and stated that we were going to purchase a washing machine with a drying function, a capacity of 10.5 kg for washing and 7 kg for drying. We were recommended such a machine, and as it turned out, this was a turning point in the story.
We were told that this is the quietest machine in the world, and they claimed that all machines released so far have a belt, which makes them unreliable due to the possible breakage of the belt and the creation of noise. The store employee claimed that the LG machine is the quietest in the world, and as proof, he showed a promotional video from LG on YouTube. In the video, the machine operated at maximum speed, making no sounds even during the spin cycle, and it was stable with plastic glasses, forming a tower with them. This impressed us, and we bought this product for 18,999.00 ₺. We started using the machine.
However, we encountered problems - the machine makes excessive noise, filling the house with a rumble. We inquired why it operates like this, and we were told that it is normal, and this machine is considered the quietest currently. However, on the 7th month, the screen broke, and the service came and replaced it. And just 5 days ago, when we left home after starting the machine, we found that it had moved about 30 cm from its original position and stopped. We called the service. In the end, the service refused to refund, stating that these machines are the loudest, and it is part of their marketing strategy, and there is nothing to be done about it. They took the machine, saying that we can still use it, and because it moved, the machine gave an error, but after resetting, we can continue to use it.
We plan to contact the consumer rights service, demand a refund.
