I’ve Had Spin Problems with My LG Washing Machine Since Day One
From the very first day we bought our LG washing machine, it has had spin cycle issues. Recently, the problem became unbearable—the machine would get stuck mid-cycle with clothes and water still inside, refusing to spin. We called customer service, but the technician kept delaying the visit with “today, tomorrow” excuses. After days of waiting, someone finally showed up.
During this time, we were constantly draining water and cleaning the bottom filter ourselves just to keep things going. When the technician arrived, he opened the bottom panel, lifted the machine, and removed two small clumps of lint. He said, “It’s fixed now,” charged ₺2000, and told us we’d have to lift the machine like this every week to prevent the problem.
How is a woman at home supposed to lift a full-size washing machine on her own every week? That’s completely unrealistic. Our previous machine was a Vestel, and it ran for 13 years without a single spin issue. We bought LG because we believed in its reliability—but this experience has completely shattered our trust.
The service was not only slow but unhelpful and borderline careless. And let’s not forget: the product is still under warranty! Yet LG acted like none of that mattered.
LG, this is unacceptable. Fix the design flaw or replace the machine. I won’t recommend LG to anyone again unless you stand behind your product and provide proper after-sales support.
