Lenovo V14 Laptop Charging Port Problem
My Lenovo V14 laptop with serial number 252009227114 has an issue with the charging port, so I sent it to Lenovo service under warranty. The response I received highlighted the company's dishonesty and irresponsibility towards customers. I received a brief message: "User fault detected. If you confirm payment, the repair will begin." Considering that the issue with the charging port is within the warranty, I assumed no payment was required and decided to clarify this on the website. However, faced with a price of 17,000 ₺, I contacted customer support to understand the reason. The information I received was as follows: "A defect has been found in the charging port of your device, and since replacing it damages the motherboard, it also needs to be replaced, hence the high cost." Why is a motherboard replacement required on my device, which had no issues with the motherboard when sent for repair? And why is a replacement offered at such an inflated price?
