Lenovo LOQ Warranty Replacement Denied After 6 Months
I purchased a Lenovo LOQ laptop (S/N: MP2NPNKE) through Trendyol on October 4, 2024, and sent it to Lenovo technical service on June 9, 2026, under fault record number 2031019020, due to camera freezing and speaker crackling issues. When I packaged the device for shipment, I included a signed replacement petition referencing Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers, and I also sent my purchase invoice by email along with a clear and formal declaration that I was absolutely not requesting a repair — only a device replacement.Despite all of these explicit statements, the technical service center identified the fault on the device and ordered parts from abroad, which means the product's defective condition has been officially acknowledged. Nevertheless, in my most recent phone call today, Lenovo customer service blocked my consumer right by citing the baseless claim that "since more than 6 months have passed since you purchased the device, we cannot legally offer a replacement" — a position that directly contradicts Article 11 of the Consumer Protection Law. Under that article, the right to a replacement remains with the consumer throughout the two-year warranty period for any product whose defect has been confirmed. On top of this, I am currently in the middle of my university entrance exam period and simply cannot afford to lose time waiting for parts to arrive from abroad.I'm demanding that Lenovo Turkey immediately cancel the repair process it initiated without my consent and in spite of my written statements and legal rights, and that my device be replaced one-for-one with a brand-new, flawless unit — meaning a DOA report should be issued and the exchange carried out accordingly. I am not requesting a refund or any other alternative; my sole demand is a like-for-like replacement with a new device. Otherwise, I am hereby notifying Lenovo that I will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee, backed by my service records, email correspondence, and signed petition.
