Foreign Object Found In Lay’s Greens And Yogurt Chips Puts Child Safety At Risk

A foreign object was found inside a bag of Lay’s seasonal greens and yogurt-flavored potato chips that my nephews bought yesterday. Although I do not actually approve of buying this kind of product, my nephews were eating it and suddenly encountered this foreign object inside the package. Small children consume these chips, and I find it very difficult to understand how a product in this condition could be released to the market. At that moment my 2.5‑year‑old nephew was also eating the chips. If he had swallowed this foreign object, the consequences could have been much more serious. The fact that human health can be put at risk so easily, and that the necessary controls were apparently not carried out during the production stage, has both worried me greatly and made me very angry. The product’s expiration date had not passed. I contacted Lay’s about the incident and only my contact number was taken, but I have not been called back or given any explanation. I would like to state clearly that there is no fault on the part of the seller; this problem arises from the production process. Therefore, I demand that the production processes of these products be examined in detail, that the necessary checks and improvements be made, that I receive a written apology and explanation regarding this incident, and that the purchase price of the product be refunded. In order to prevent such irresponsibility from recurring in a product frequently consumed by young children, I expect much stricter and more effective product inspections to be implemented in all stages of production.

They called and spoke in a very indifferent manner, unable even to offer an apology; they have proven that they are an unprofessional, irresponsible company.
