Lacoste Refuses Refund for Defective Shoes

On March 12, 2024, I purchased a pair of Lacoste brand shoes (order number: 2550509375689286.005) from sanalcadir.com, a subsidiary of Eren Perakende in Turkey. Approximately one year later, when I first began using the shoes, I noticed that the right shoe was significantly narrower and uncomfortable compared to the left shoe. As someone who has consistently used size 42 Lacoste shoes for many years, I consider this a clear manufacturing defect. Consequently, I experienced discomfort and pain in my right foot throughout the entire day. When I reported this issue to the company, they requested that I send the product for inspection. I returned the shoes along with a detailed complaint note. However, on April 10, 2025, I received a response referencing inspection number OCC239035, stating that the deformation was due to improper use and care, implying no manufacturing defect. This seemed to be a generic, copy-paste response. I find no correlation between the stated issue and the provided explanation. I have serious doubts about whether the inspection was genuinely thorough and accurate. I strongly reject this attempt to evade responsibility and blame the consumer for an obvious production error. Due to this clear manufacturing fault, I demand an immediate return of the shoes and a full refund. I expect this issue to be resolved promptly.
