If Kakao Pay auto-paid subscriptions without notice and you want to cancel and get a refund;
Check the subscription charge first;
• Open Kakao Pay → Transactions
• Confirm:
– Amount charged
– Date & time
– Merchant/recipient name
• Screenshot the transaction
Check linked bank/card statement;
• Confirm the posted charge
• Screenshot the bank record
Find the subscription source;
• Identify which app/service was paid
• Check if that service has its own subscription settings
Cancel the recurring payment;
• Open Kakao Pay → Settings → Automatic Payments / Subscriptions
• Find the merchant/service
• Tap Cancel automatic payment
• Screenshot cancellation confirmation
If you can’t find it in Kakao Pay;
• Check the service (App Store / Google Play / website)
• Cancel subscription directly there
• Screenshot cancellation
Contact Kakao Pay Support;
• Go to App → Help / Customer Center → Inquiry
• Choose:
– Unauthorized or incorrect payment
• Provide:
– Your Kakao Pay ID
– Charge date & amount
– Screenshots (transaction + cancellation)
• Ask them to:
– Confirm why auto-payment occurred
– Refund the unwanted charge
– Confirm cancellation in writing
If support does not reply, you might want to consider posting a complaint on Xolvie in order to bring attention to the issue and try to find a solution.
