IndiGo Destroyed My Suitcase and Failed to Pay Approved Compensation
During my journey from India to the Maldives on IndiGo flight 6E1127 (MLE) for travel on March 4–5, my suitcase was severely damaged. The wheels and several sections of the suitcase were completely shattered, rendering it entirely unusable. An official Property Irregularity Report (PIR) was filed immediately at the airport, all required forms were completed, and I submitted every requested document.
Afterward, I was informed via email that a compensation payment of $60 (5,000 INR) would be issued, and I have been waiting for this payment to hit my bank account since March 14. I have been in frequent contact with IndiGo throughout this process. Most recently, on April 13, my IBAN details were requested again, and I was assured the payment would be dispatched; however, despite today being April 26, still no payment has been made.
I have suffered ongoing inconvenience because my luggage remains completely unusable, and I want this situation resolved without further delay. I demand that the agreed-upon $60 payment be deposited into my bank account immediately as promised, and that the hardship caused by this extended delay be properly addressed.
