Flydubai Ignored Severe Luggage Damage After Dubai–Istanbul Flight

On November 28, 2025, I traveled on flydubai flight fz755 from Dubai to Istanbul. Even though I was using my Samsonite Boss hard-shell suitcase for the first time, I checked it in wrapped with transparent protective plastic. However, when I retrieved my luggage at Istanbul Airport, I noticed a clear and deep structural collapse on one corner of the suitcase. This damage is not a scratch or a minor dent—it is a serious deformation that has made the suitcase unusable.
I immediately reported the issue to the TGS Office at Istanbul Airport, where a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) was created. Despite this, even after days of correspondence with flydubai, my claim has been rejected with the explanation that the damage is “minor surface damage.” As can clearly be seen in the photos, this is not superficial damage but a structural collapse that compromises the integrity of the suitcase.
I am requesting that this serious damage to my suitcase be formally acknowledged, that my loss be remedied, that the necessary compensation process be initiated, and that I be provided either with reimbursement for the value of the suitcase or a replacement suitcase of equivalent quality.
