Got a fake PAN update alert claiming to be from India Post Payments Bank, how do I stay safe?

If you got a fake PAN update alert that said it was from India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), don't click on any links, react, or give out any information. This is a common sign of phishing.

IPPB does not ask for PAN, OTPs, or PINs through SMS or WhatsApp. Delete the message right away.

To stay safe, only use the official IPPB/DakPay app or ippbonline.bank.in to see if you need to update anything. You can also use the official site's phone numbers to call IPPB customer service.

You can change your UPI PIN or app password, turn on alerts, and look over your recent transfers.
