52 Days Waiting for Germany Schengen Visa – Need Passport for Irish Visa

170

I submitted my documents for a Germany Schengen visa at the iData İzmir office on August 28, but after 52 days, my passport is still with the consulate. My travel dates (September 28 - October 5) have passed, and I haven’t received any updates. I understand there’s a backlog, but I need my passport urgently to apply for an Irish visa, as my fiancé lives in Ireland. This delay has caused significant problems, and I’m asking for a solution to speed up the process. I feel completely stuck and unfairly treated.

As of 10 a.m. on November 1, 2024, it states that a message containing the shipment code from the courier company will be sent to me. I had applied and submitted my documents for Schengen at iData İzmir on August 26, 2024. Meanwhile, a month has passed since my travel date and exactly 2 months since my application.

The text translates to: "62 days have passed and still no news. I expect to hear something this week. Is there anyone who applied in Izmir on August 28 and has received a result?"

I received a message on November 1st that my Schengen visa application for Germany, submitted on August 28th, was sent by courier. I will find out whether my visa is approved or not when I receive it.
