Hyundai Ioniq 6 Charging Socket Fault Persists Despite Warranty and Service Attempts

In April 2024, I took delivery of my 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 from Fertan Dealership with license plate 41 ***816. From the very first day, I have not been able to charge the vehicle properly. The charging socket is loose, preventing the locking pin from engaging and the charging protocol from starting.

Initially, the dealership claimed the issue was caused by the charging companies. I contacted providers such as ZES and Trugo to seek solutions. Later, I tested my car alongside a friend’s Ioniq 6 at the same charging station—while his vehicle charged without any problem, mine once again failed. My friend confirmed the problem was with the socket lock.

The vehicle charges at lighter, standard sockets like ZES but fails at heavier ones like Eşarj. After receiving no solution from Fertan, I was directed by Hyundai Turkey manager U** A*** to Gebze service under G*** Bey. However, the only intervention performed there was replacing the socket with a second-hand part after 60,000 km. Despite this, the issue persists. The service tries to convince customers that the problem is resolved, yet no permanent fix has been provided.

Although my vehicle is still under warranty, this problem has continued for nearly a year. Authorized services repeatedly respond with “there is no problem” while every other vehicle of the same model and other brands charges normally at the same stations. My chassis number is KMHM341BXRA072942.

I expect Hyundai to resolve this issue with a brand-new, original part and provide a permanent solution. I demand that my grievance be addressed and that my vehicle be restored to safe and reliable usability.
