On December 21, 2024, I sent my Huawei Mate 20 Pro, which I purchased in March 2019, to KVK Technical Service, an authorized service center participating in Huawei's battery replacement campaign (https://consumer.huawei.com/tr/support/battery-service/), located in İzmir. My phone had an issue with turning on and off. After replacing the battery, the service center claimed that all checks showed no problems. However, when I saw that the issue persisted, I opened the phone's back cover and found that the newly installed battery was dated June 2, 2020. It felt like a joke, as they installed a battery almost as old as the original one inside the phone. I reported the issue to Huawei customer service, and in their response, they stated that the battery's production date was not important, only whether it was new. The representative essentially confirmed that they had legally sold me an outdated battery. This experience showed me how Huawei, a company I had considered trustworthy, handles customer concerns when a complaint is filed.
