I reached out to Customer Service as the touch buttons on my Hotpoint dishwasher were unresponsive. The team that arrived merely cleaned the screen with disinfectant, almost treating the issue as a joke. It seemed they weren't taking the situation seriously. When the disinfectant failed to work, they nonchalantly stated, 'It's not working; it won't work.' Subsequently, they quoted an exorbitant price to replace the entire screen, a proposal I declined. However, they couldn't restore the machine to its original state.
Previously, I could turn on the machine and use it for washing, but now, it won't turn on at all. Service representatives claimed the machine was now completely broken and wouldn't power on, yet insisted on the service fee. Before the service team arrived, I could only not use the program buttons. However, now, the service team has completely ruined the machine, rendering it entirely nonfunctional.
Can it be true that the renowned Customer Service conducts repairs with nothing but disinfectant and cotton? I am infuriated by this situation. At the very least, the machine should have been returned in its previous working condition.
