Samsung DW60M5040FS Dishwasher Basket Broke, Service Made It Worse, Not Better

I own a Samsung DW60M5040FS dishwasher, and the handle on the upper rack broke, so I contacted customer service for a repair. They said the basket replacement would be paid, took a deposit, and made me wait 20 full days for the part to arrive.
When the new basket finally came, the technician removed the broken one and told me to throw it away because it was “useless.” But then, they suddenly claimed that the machine wouldn’t work without the sprinkler attached to the old basket—which they had already discarded! Now they’re blaming me for not keeping it, saying, “If you had saved the old one, we could’ve fixed it.”
They had the nerve to close the service request and leave without offering any real solution, only trying to upsell me a full paid replacement. How is it that a company like Samsung can’t provide a simple part without turning it into a nightmare? I expected full support—not to be blamed for following their instructions.
