Hotel Asked Me to Cancel Reservation, But Hotels.com Did Not Refund Me

I made a hotel reservation through Hotels.com and paid the full amount. Two days later, the hotel called me and said they would not be operating during the month of May, so I needed to cancel the reservation and that they would issue a refund (Sufi Homes - Konya). They also sent an email through the system and submitted a cancellation request. I cancelled the reservation. However, no refund was issued. When I called the hotel, they said the payment would be processed by Hotels.com. I contacted Hotels.com and forwarded the email sent by the hotel through the system. They said they would not be issuing a refund. The hotel does not accept responsibility, and Hotels.com is acting as if I cancelled voluntarily. They simply don’t care. If you use this site, you won’t find anyone to take responsibility. Unfortunately, I will have to take the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Board. However long that takes now!
