The touchscreen on my Honda Africa Twin 1100 motorcycle has not been working for about a week. My motorcycle’s warranty began on April 21, 2021, and is still active until April 21, 2025. Despite this, I have been told that this issue will not be handled under warranty.
My motorcycle has fog lights installed as an accessory. These fog lights were installed using the original factory connector, and there has been absolutely no wire cutting, additional switches, or any modifications to the system. Even so, the service center claims they will not cover the repair under warranty because the fog lights are installed, and they are refusing to fix the issue for this reason.
I do not accept the rejection of my warranty based on this reasoning, as the touchscreen malfunction has no connection to the properly installed, system-compatible fog lights. Moreover, I am being asked to pay approximately $9,400 for the repair. I request that the touchscreen issue on my motorcycle, which is still under warranty, be evaluated within warranty coverage and repaired free of charge, or that the screen be replaced if necessary.
