Honda City 2023 Smart Key Not Working and Warranty Denied
My 2023 Honda City currently has 45,000 km, and all periodic maintenance has been performed on time at the authorized Efe Plaza Honda service center. My vehicle is still under warranty. About a month ago, the smart entry button on the door handle stopped working.
When I took my car in for service on March 26, 2026, I requested that this issue be inspected and repaired under warranty. However, I was told that the smart entry failure in the door handle is not covered by the warranty, and that the door would need to be disassembled, requiring the vehicle to stay at the service center for one day. Previously, when a crack appeared on my windshield, I was also told that it was not covered under warranty.
Despite using my vehicle carefully, maintaining it regularly at an authorized service center, and paying higher-than-average service costs, I find it difficult to understand why both the smart entry button issue and the windshield crack are considered outside of warranty coverage. At this point, I specifically request that the door handle smart entry malfunction be evaluated under warranty and repaired free of charge.
Although I have used my vehicle in accordance with warranty conditions and maintained it through authorized service, I would like a clear and understandable explanation for why such issues are excluded from warranty coverage, and I request that my grievance be resolved.
