I received Home Depot store credits, but I'd prefer a gift card instead. How do I convert store credits to a gift card?

According to Home Depot policies, exchanging store credits for gift cards is impossible. Both store credits and gift cards cannot be used to buy the other or accumulate additional gift cards. The in-store credit system is unlike a gift card and can only be used at that store.

If a store accepts returns for cash instead of store credit, you may be able to exchange your credit for another form of payment like a gift card, but you may have to accept a discount. If you prefer a Home Depot gift card to cash, you can use the money you receive as a refund to buy one.

Please note that the store credit system does not accept Home Depot gift cards, Visa cards, and other gift cards. Returns can be made in exchange for store credit, which can then be used under certain conditions.
