Unauthorized Hint App Charges
I am writing to report an unauthorized subscription charge from Hint App to my credit card issued by Ventu County Credit Union. On February 17, 2026, I made what I understood to be a one‑time purchase in the Hint App, and at no point did I knowingly agree to any form of monthly or recurring subscription. Despite this, I later discovered a subscription had been created and I was charged 148.95 without my clear consent to ongoing payments. When I noticed this situation, I immediately cancelled the subscription. I then contacted my bank, Ventu County Credit Union, but they informed me that I should first address the issue directly with Hint. I request that the 148.95 subscription charge be fully refunded to my card and that any associated subscription be permanently cancelled so that no further payments are taken in the future. I also ask for written confirmation explaining how this unauthorized subscription was started and that my card details will not be used again without my explicit consent.
