I am writing regarding an issue I experienced with an unauthorised transaction from Hint.app that was processed via my PayPal account, which has now been resolved, but caused me significant concern. On January 23, 2026, I was charged by Hint.app after what was presented as a one‑time payment of $1.99. Afterwards, additional subscription charges were taken that were never clearly disclosed or authorised by me. I raised this with PayPal and provided evidence that Hint.app advertised the transaction as a one‑time payment, yet I was still being charged for ongoing subscriptions. While I was in the process of preparing this complaint, the full refund was finally processed to my account, so I am not requesting any further action at this time. I am sharing this experience so that similar cases of undisclosed or unauthorised subscription charges via Hint.app can be reviewed more carefully in the future, and other users can be better protected.
