Harley-Davidson Brockman Boots Tore at Stitching After Third Wear

I recently purchased a pair of Harley‑Davidson Men’s 7‑Inch Brockman Motorcycle Boots via the online retailer Takealot.com and received them on 1 April 2026 in South Africa. These boots cost me close to R5,000, so I expected a durable, high‑quality product in line with my previous positive experiences with Harley‑Davidson products. However, after only the third time wearing them in normal daily use, the leather at the back of one boot tore open at the stitching. This is clearly not wear and tear but a serious quality defect and an unacceptable failure after minimal use, which leaves me extremely disappointed with the workmanship and overall quality of this pair. I have already contacted Takealot customer service and requested a replacement, but I have not received any response yet. Since this is a Harley‑Davidson branded product, I would like to bring this matter directly to your attention as well, because this kind of issue raises serious concerns about current quality control compared with the high standard I was accustomed to in the past. I kindly request that this defect be taken seriously, that the boots be replaced with a pair that meets Harley‑Davidson’s usual quality standards or that an appropriate solution be provided, and that feedback be given to me as a matter of urgency.
