Gulf Insurance Denies iPhone 14 Pro Max Water Damage
On March 5, 2023, I bought an iPhone 14 Pro Max from Teknosa and also got it insured with Gulf. Regrettably, my phone suffered an unfortunate incident on June 1, 2023, leading to a cracked screen. I had it repaired through the insurance, and it was returned to me in working condition. Unfortunately, on December 15, 2023, the phone experienced water damage, even though it was insured for such situations. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find out that Gulf Insurance had utilized aftermarket parts during the repair, resulting in the water damage. This unfortunate incident could have been avoided if they had utilized authentic components. I sent it for repair once more, only to receive a message saying, "Unfortunately, the phone cannot be repaired. However, we are pleased to offer you a ₺29,000 gift voucher as compensation." The phone is going to be completely wrecked. My phone was taken away from me without my permission, completely destroyed, and I was given a voucher that was worth only a fraction of its current value. I kindly request a replacement for my phone and a resolution to this unfortunate situation.
