On November 30, I ordered two bags from the Guess website (tracking number: CU031341631DE). Since the items weren’t available in Turkey, they were shipped from Germany. I specifically chose "Duty Free & Fast Delivery" to avoid customs fees and ensure quick delivery. However, it’s been over a month, and today, PTT left a notice at my door stating the package is stuck at Ankara Customs.
When I called PTT, they informed me that because the value exceeded €30, I’d need to hire a customs broker, provide a notarized power of attorney, and pay additional taxes and fees to retrieve the package. This is unacceptable. I requested a refund through Guess’s website, but I was told the refund will only be processed once the items are returned to their warehouse, which could take another month.
If Guess cannot deliver directly to customers in Turkey, why not ship the items to a local store and avoid these issues? I trusted Guess as a reliable international brand, but this experience has been incredibly frustrating. I will share updates here for others facing similar problems. Guess, I expect a prompt resolution to this mess, including a full refund.
