I had an awful experience with Gotogate involving a flight schedule change and hidden charges. They moved my flight 12 hours earlier than originally booked, but instead of notifying me at my actual email address, they sent the change to a fake email address they apparently made up using just my first and last name. Naturally, I never received the notification and missed my flight as a result.
When I contacted Gotogate for a refund, they kept giving me the runaround with conflicting and unhelpful responses, clearly just trying to stall or avoid taking responsibility. To make matters worse, they intentionally blocked online check-in. I spent nearly 24 hours trying unsuccessfully to check in online, only to be forced to check in at the airport and pay an extra 45 Euro per person.
This level of negligence and deception is unacceptable. Gotogate not only cost me time and money but showed complete disregard for their customer. I demand a full refund for the additional fees and compensation for the inconvenience they caused with their internal errors and manipulative practices.
