About a week ago, I discovered rust forming on the racks of my Franke FWDS712++XS dishwasher, and it has spread rapidly in a very short time. Although I’ve owned the machine for 4 years and it's now out of warranty, I’ve always used it properly and maintained it according to the instructions. It’s extremely frustrating and concerning to now face such a major issue—rust that stains both the interior and my dishes.
Even worse, the rust transfers onto the dishes themselves, leaving visible stains and raising serious hygiene concerns. I no longer feel confident using the machine, knowing that rust exposure can be harmful to health. The entire purpose of a dishwasher is cleanliness, yet mine is now creating an unsanitary environment.
When I contacted Franke’s authorized service, I was told it was "user error" and offered an unreasonably high quote for replacement baskets. They also mentioned that the parts are not in stock and would arrive from abroad only by September, leaving me without a reliable dishwasher for months. This is unacceptable.
I’m requesting that Franke offers a discounted replacement for the rusted baskets considering the machine’s relatively recent purchase and proper use. I expect Franke to take responsibility for a quality issue like this and offer a fair resolution that reflects customer loyalty and product integrity.
