Four Seasons Sultanahmet Staff Member Treats Guest Disrespectfully

1

On July 26, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m., I visited the café area of the Four Seasons Hotel in Sultanahmet. Due to the behavior of a female member of the front-of-house staff who was present at the entrance, I felt compelled to leave almost immediately after sitting down. Although she had a smile on her face, her manner was extremely sarcastic, condescending, and uncomfortable. I felt that she was deliberately making an effort to prevent us from sitting anywhere in the café.

This attitude was completely inconsistent with the level of hospitality and respect I would expect from a hotel of this standard. I also looked at the reviews on Google and noticed that similar complaints about the same employee had apparently been raised repeatedly in the past, yet no meaningful change seemed to have been made. This led me to believe that what I experienced was not an isolated incident but rather an ongoing issue.

From a well-established hotel such as Four Seasons, I expect this employee's conduct to be properly investigated and for appropriate action to be taken. At a minimum, I believe she should receive serious guidance or a formal warning regarding appropriate communication with guests, or, if deemed more appropriate, be assigned to a position that does not involve direct interaction with guests.

I request that the necessary measures be taken to prevent other guests from experiencing similar negative treatment and to ensure that the welcoming and respectful hospitality expected from the Four Seasons brand is consistently maintained. I also expect this complaint to be taken seriously and properly investigated.
