Urgent Complaint – Ford Kuga Coolant Warning & Safety Concern
In December 2024, I purchased a Ford Kuga from Ford Çetaş in Manisa, Turkey. As of June 2025, my vehicle has started displaying an engine coolant warning. Although this vehicle is capable of reaching speeds of 240 km/h, the warning appears at speeds of only 100-110 km/h. I took the car back to the dealership, where it was connected to a diagnostic device, but no solution was provided. A service representative informed me that there was a defective production batch of this Kuga model and that some vehicles were recalled for this reason. However, during the sales process, the sales consultant (Ms. A***) did not provide me with any information on this matter. After the sale, she showed no further support, and I have since learned that she has left the company. My vehicle is only 7 months old, and I am experiencing a problem that is clearly not caused by my use. This is causing both inconvenience and a serious safety risk. When I contacted the dealership, they asked me to leave the vehicle there, but refused my request for a replacement car, claiming “we have none available” and “we do not provide replacement cars for repairs under 10 days.” This entire process is the result of Ford’s manufacturing defect, yet my inconvenience is not being resolved. When I contacted the Ford Customer Care Center, they merely informed me that “this is how the process works” and initially refused to even take my complaint. Only after insisting did they open a complaint record for Ford Çetaş Manisa, but no support or resolution was provided regarding a replacement car. When I asked, “How will you resolve my situation, will I be able to get a replacement car?” I received no answer. For these reasons, I request a full refund of the vehicle. Otherwise, I will file a formal complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee and pursue my rights through all legal channels.
