Factory Paint Issue and Loss of Value Concern With My Brand New Ford Focus Active



My wife and I purchased a 2024 model, zero mileage Ford Focus Active Style model vehicle from Çetaş Mahmutbey Istanbul Turkey, an authorized Ford dealer, dated 12.03.2025. About a month later, a friend of mine noticed key marks on the bonnet nuts while inspecting the car out of curiosity and said that this should not be the case on a brand new car. Thereupon, I had the car inspected at the Çetaş service and a document was requested from Ford Otosan. During the inspection at the dealership service, an expert report was prepared stating that there were key marks on the bonnet nuts and that the paint thickness on the bonnet was higher than the other parts. A letter came from Ford Otosan Retail Customer Operations Leadership and it says that up to 350 microns is normal, the hood can be adjusted during the final inspection, etc. Normally, instead of such a simple letter, a detailed report should be given about the paint and the process done by the factory. When I sell it one day, I will not be able to explain my problem to any buyer with this letter. I should have much more solid evidence showing that this vehicle has not been painted due to an accident or any other reason and that what has been done is factory-made. Otherwise, it will suffer a serious loss of value when selling. When I showed it to an external expert, he stated that it could be factory-made paint but there were paint dust errors on the hood tip. In other words, even if the vehicle has been factory-made, the paint is defective in this case. The correction later done by the factory is a disaster. It looks like it was painted and fixed by some outside service, with terrible workmanship. Therefore, I am complaining about Ford Manufacturer, Ford Otosan Turkey and the dealer where I bought this car (Çetaş Mahmutbey) and demanding that my grievance be corrected.
