Ford Sold Me a Faulty New Puma With Defects Like Rust and Taillight Leaks

I purchased a brand-new Ford Puma from the İzmir Ford Cetaş dealership on May 31, 2024. Since it was my first time buying a brand-new car, I didn’t examine it thoroughly. About a month later, I noticed misaligned door trims, evidence that the door hinges had been readjusted after factory painting—revealing unpainted areas—and wrench marks on bolts. Additional issues included stains on the interior ceiling lining, water inside the rear taillights, clips popping off the side skirts, a detached door seal, rust on the transmission, occasional jolts when shifting from first gear to neutral, a loose driver’s seat, and an error message on the dashboard screen. Under warranty, the ceiling lining, dashboard screen, door seal, and side skirt were replaced. Only one piece of the left taillight assembly was approved for replacement; the right side and the remaining part were not. The rest of the issues remain unresolved. Based on my research, most of these problems are chronic and commonly reported by other owners. I have requested a vehicle replacement due to these defects and have been waiting for a response for about a month. We’ll see what solution Ford decides to offer.
