Fisher Price 4-in-1 Robot Malfunction

A couple of years back, just before my little one arrived, I decided to get myself the Fisher Price 4-in-1 robot. I decided to take it out of the box a few months ago, thinking it would be a fun source of entertainment for my baby. My baby only played with it for a month, tops. However, even with infrequent use, the device's first level operates properly, while the second and third levels only activate upon initial pressing. Later on, it remains still and does not react to any button presses. This problem seems to be quite common.
