Fisher-Price Animated Puppy Phone Malfunctioning with Annoying Sound, Baby Refuses to Play

I bought the Fisher-Price Animated Puppy Phone for my baby’s play and development on a friend’s recommendation. We decided to start using it when my baby turned 10 months old. However, when we press the power button, it makes a disturbing, stuck-like noise that doesn’t stop, no matter which buttons we press. Instead of enjoying the toy, my baby is scared and refuses to hold it. I’m disappointed and upset because this toy was meant to bring joy and aid in my baby's development, but it’s having the opposite effect. This is not the quality I expected from Fisher-Price.
