Ewa English Charged Me Prematurely Despite Trial
On April 25, 2025, I downloaded the EWA English app to my phone, intrigued by the promise of a free trial followed by a monthly subscription I could cancel if I didn’t like it. That sounded fair—until my card was charged before the trial even ended. What’s worse, the amount charged wasn’t even the advertised monthly fee. It was significantly higher.
Within an hour of this charge, I went to my iPhone settings and canceled the subscription, hoping they would refund the money since I acted immediately. But to this day, no refund has been issued. I find it completely unacceptable to charge someone before the trial ends and then ignore their cancellation.
My credit card payment date is approaching and I absolutely do not want to pay for a service I canceled and didn’t use. I’m demanding an immediate refund of the unauthorized charge. EWA English must resolve this issue now, or I will be forced to escalate this further through my bank and local consumer protection authorities.
