Etsy Required My National ID Photo and Now Won't Confirm It's Deleted

On May 31, 2026, while opening an account on Etsy, I was asked to upload a photo of my Turkish national ID card. To open the account, I uploaded this photo to the system and also provided my phone number and bank account information. However, after doing some research afterward, I began to have serious concerns about the security of my ID information.
I couldn't find sufficient, clear information about how the photo of my ID card, along with all the personal data on it, is stored in Etsy's systems, who it's shared with, and how long it will be retained. In addition, I'm deeply troubled by the possibility that my data could be shared with third parties, circulated on other platforms or in illegal channels, and used in the future to commit identity fraud. I tried to reach the support team, but since I couldn't find anyone to respond, my concerns only grew.
I am requesting that Etsy fully close my account and permanently delete all my personal data — including my Turkish national ID card image and, in particular, my identity and bank information — from its systems. I also want clear, written confirmation that this has been done and that my information is not being retained or shared in any other environment.
