Estée Lauder Double Wear Reformulation Causes Oxidation and Patchy Skin Finish

3

On July 15, 2026, I purchased Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation from Sephora, and I am not at all satisfied with its new formula. The product oxidizes significantly on my skin, darkens in a short time, and creates a flaky, textured appearance, especially on my dry skin.

I used the previous Double Wear formula from the same line for a long time and loved it; its finish and longevity looked much more natural and flawless. The new formula does not deliver the same performance in terms of both appearance and longevity, making it unusable for me.

As someone with dry skin, I expect the brand to urgently review this new product and return to a formula that resembles its former performance—one that does not oxidize or appear flaky on dry skin. Because both I and many people around me are dissatisfied with this new formula, we have stopped purchasing it altogether. I demand that my complaint be taken into consideration and that a clear explanation and improvement be made regarding the product.
