I Traveled for Emirates’ May 19 Event at Bodrum Hilton but No One Showed Up or Informed Us
On May 19, 2024, Emirates was supposed to host an evaluation event at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bodrum at 9:00 AM. I spent money days in advance on transportation and accommodation to attend, hoping this opportunity might lead to something valuable. But when I arrived, there was absolutely no one from Emirates there—not a single representative to speak to, no signs, no setup, nothing.
Even the hotel staff had no idea what was going on. There was no cancellation notice online, on social media, or anywhere else. We were left completely in the dark. People traveled from different cities, spending significant amounts—₺ on hotels, ₺ on transport—only to be met with silence and confusion.
This is not how a professional company should treat people, especially when the event had been promoted and expected. What was the purpose of this event if no one from Emirates even showed up?
We deserve answers, and we deserve compensation for the time and money lost. Emirates, at the very least, someone from your team should acknowledge this failure and explain what happened. Don’t stay silent—respond to the people who trusted your name.
