I Experienced Over 24-Hour Delay and No Support on Tailwind Airlines Sharm Flight

On July 20, 2024, at 7:00 AM, I was scheduled to depart for a Sharm tour with Tailwind Airlines. Since 3:00 AM the previous day, we've been shuffled around the airport without clear information. We were repeatedly told that buses would arrive to take us to a hotel, but we weren't taken there until 8:00 AM. We were then informed we'd depart at 8:00 PM for a 20:00 flight, but the flight was delayed to 10:15 PM. Upon returning to the airport, the flight was further delayed to 11:15 PM, and now it's been postponed to 1:00 AM.

Our annual leave and vacation have been ruined, and no officials are providing assistance or updates. Two days of our four-day tour have already been wasted, leaving us both financially and emotionally distressed. Exhausted and sleepless, we're waiting around the airport for our flight. In light of the hardship and inconvenience caused, we are demanding a full refund and an extension of our vacation equivalent to the lost tour days. There are 97 people here from various agencies facing the same issue. I've called about ten times regarding this matter, but there's still no progress. We urgently need a resolution to this unacceptable situation.
