eDreams Unauthorized Flight Charge

On 1 April 2026, eDreams charged my debit account for a flight ticket from Johannesburg to Cape Town without my permission. I had previously used eDreams and entered my card details, but I did not authorize this particular transaction and did not make a booking for this flight on that date. When I noticed the unauthorized charge, I contacted my bank in mid-March. They informed me that I needed to call eDreams customer service to resolve the issue. However, I have not yet been able to reach eDreams and the charge remains on my account. I request that this unauthorized charge be investigated urgently, that the relevant booking be cancelled if it exists, and that the full amount be refunded to my debit account. I also expect a written explanation of how this charge was made without my explicit authorization and what measures will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
