eDreams Raises Flight Price at Checkout Without Warning

January 4 10:18 PM187

On January 6, 2026, I experienced a serious issue while trying to purchase a ticket through the eDreams website for Pegasus Airlines’ 8:05 AM flight from Antalya to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen. The ticket price was displayed as $37 USD on the website. I entered all passenger and credit card details completely and confirmed this price when proceeding to the payment stage.

However, after approving the payment, the system arbitrarily increased the ticket price to approximately $44 USD and asked whether I still wanted to purchase the ticket at this new price. In other words, the site showed $37 USD until the very final step, then raised the price at the most critical moment. I consider this practice misleading, trust-breaking, and unfair to consumers. Notably, this price increase occurred before any charge was made to my card.

To prevent others from experiencing the same issue, I request that the eDreams website and this pricing practice be reviewed by the relevant authorities, and that necessary measures be taken to ensure similar consumer harm does not occur again.
