Dyson V8 Animal Vacuum Failing After 3 Years
In 2021, I purchased a Dyson V8 Animal cordless vacuum from Media Markt for my dowry. At the time of purchase, I was told that every attachment would be eligible for a one-time free replacement. I started using the vacuum on 05.06.2022. For the past two months, the motor has been stuttering during use. I sought assistance through the Dyson website, followed the cleaning instructions, but the issue persisted intermittently. Now, the roller inside the carpet head doesn't spin, and it stops on its own while the motor is running. I contacted Dyson customer service, but since the warranty has expired, they are not providing assistance. They quoted ₺3,000 for the carpet head replacement and ₺5,700 for the main motor repair.
A vacuum should not have a lifespan of just three years. It's disappointing, especially when I still have a ** vacuum that's been working for 7 years, and believe it or not, it outperforms the Dyson by far. I was skeptical when I bought it, but to my surprise, it's more durable than the Dyson. I need support for my vacuum. It's quite absurd for a well-known company to say they don't offer repair services for attachments. After all, we're cleaning a home, not a construction site. The vacuum has barely lasted three years, and this rapid deterioration is unacceptable. The product does not justify the price I paid, and the outcome has been deeply disappointing. I am seeking assistance for my Dyson vacuum.
