Dyson V8 Vacuum Making Loud Drill Noise and Losing Power After Minutes of Use

We purchased a Dyson V8 cordless vacuum cleaner from Media Markt in March 2025. About two months after purchase, the vacuum began to develop a loud noise and motor malfunction. I bought this for my mother, and when compared with my own V8 (same model), there’s a clear difference — this one makes a drill-like noise from the motor and loses suction power after a few minutes, causing the brush head to stop spinning and making it unusable.
We reported the issue to Dyson customer service in September. After a video inspection, a new brush head was sent, but the problem persisted. In a follow-up call, they said the device needed to be sent in for servicing. During the service process, the filter and brush head were replaced, but the noise issue continued. Despite video evidence showing the problem clearly (which Dyson has on record), we were asked to send the product in once again. After the latest inspection, the service team claimed there was no problem, and the device was returned to us — even though the noise and motor failure still occur during every use.
All servicing was done under warranty and free of charge, but the service team refuses to acknowledge the defect, while customer service representatives have been polite and solution-oriented. I have the invoice, warranty certificate, and all service records, and it’s clear that other Dyson V8 units do not exhibit this issue.
I believe the problem is motor-related, and I now request a replacement device.
