Dyson Submarine V15 Detect Showing Poor Build Quality And Damage
I purchased the Dyson Submarine V15 Detect vacuum cleaner as a gift for my mother from Dyson website on September 9, 2025. By November 2025, it had only been used four times in total. Despite handling it with great care (as it’s quite expensive), we encountered serious quality issues from the very first uses. The couch cleaning head’s material came apart and now looks worn. The vacuum tube became covered in scratches after just one use. On the motor head, the silicone part tore and the paint peeled off where the head connects to the floor. Other attachments also started showing scratches and deformations. Additionally, the bending attachment suddenly folds while in use, making it difficult to maintain balance. All of this happens even when handled gently — and this is supposed to be a vacuum, not a crystal vase. When I contacted Dyson customer service, I was simply told, “These are cosmetic issues; the machine works fine; we can’t do anything.” It’s clear that Dyson doesn’t care about product quality issues once the sale is made and refuses to treat poor material quality as a defect. However, for a product in this price range to deteriorate so quickly and with such minimal use is unacceptable. Functionality isn’t the only important aspect — build quality matters just as much. The low material quality clearly indicates that more serious issues like cracking, breaking, and wear will occur soon. Since the poor plastic quality doesn’t match the high price I paid, and considering the imbalance between cost and quality, I am requesting a full refund. My delivery note number is DYS2025000649958. I kindly ask that this issue be resolved as soon as possible.
