On January 26, 2025, I purchased a Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde from Media Markt, as seen on the attached invoice. Before purchasing, I specifically asked the sales representative if the product had a heating function, and they confirmed it did. However, after using the device, I realized it only cools the room, and I couldn't find any way to activate a heating function. I checked the manual and online videos but found no solution.
On February 12, 2025, after struggling with the cooling effect in winter, I visited Dyson’s website and discovered a different model called Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Formaldehyde, which actually includes a heating function. I immediately checked the product box and confirmed that I was sold the wrong model. I had specifically intended to buy an air purifier with heating, but I was misled by the salesperson.
Upon realizing the mistake, I contacted Dyson's official support email (d*****@dyson.com.tr) instead of going directly to Media Markt, as I could only visit on my day off. Dyson responded, but their reply did not resolve my issue.
This is not just a wrong purchase—this is a sales mistake that now affects my household. My home has underfloor heating, and my 4-year-old son suffers from asthma, bronchitis, and croup. I purchased this device to prevent dryness and help him sleep better, but now it is making the room too cold to use in winter.
I demand an urgent replacement with the correct model—the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Formaldehyde—as I paid a significant amount for this product, including additional insurance that covers user-related issues. I expect both Media Markt and Dyson to take responsibility and correct this mistake immediately.
