I purchased the Dyson air purifier Cool+Humidify PH04 EU/TR/CEE/CH/ZA/MA/LB/IL Wh/GD on March 22, 2024. I have only used it in my bedroom, but within a month, it started to emit a slight odor. At first, I didn't take it seriously, but over time, the smell developed into a syrupy scent. Because of this odor, I can no longer use the device.
I called customer service and cleaned all the areas that needed attention with a damp cloth. However, when I smelled the filters, I noticed that both filters had the same odor, from the outside in. When I purchased the product, I was told I would need to change the filter once a year, but now it seems I need to buy a new filter every month.
Through my online research, I discovered that this issue is chronic. I will do everything I can to return the product. While I am very satisfied with my Dyson vertical vacuum and hairdryer, I am equally dissatisfied with the air purifier. It is disappointing that Dyson does not stand behind its product. We paid this much money for the quality and the assurance of product support.
